ello, I’m Jenny! I have worked as a freelance graphic designer for nearly eighteen years, ever since my oldest daughter was born. For years I almost exclusively designed for businesses, creating marketing materials.
I am married to Steve, who is a wonderful support to me. We married in 2000, after knowing each other for nearly nine years. We have three great kids, Abby, Tyler and Makenna. Both Steve and I work from home. We spend a lot of time together, and we love it!
Several years ago, as a young mom, I went on the hunt for a special dish set that could be used to celebrate birthdays at our house. Growing up, my Grandma Couch had given us a set of dishes that my family used to celebrate each and every birthday in our house. I wanted to find something like that for my home. I found nothing. One day, while in the shower, I had the thought, You should just design some yourself. And that’s how this journey began, with one little thought. Over the past ten years, I have started designs, stopped, and started again. I have a cupboard full of dish samples from different companies. A couple of years ago I lost confidence in myself, and put the project on hold. When I came back to it six months later, I completely redesigned the dishes, and started working with a new supplier. And now here we are! The Happy Happiest Birthday set is my first dish design. I hope to design even more sets. While figuring out everything with the dishes, I decided to dip my toes into the retail world with birthday cards and thank you cards. It has been a great learning experience, that is preparing me to move forward in my search for something new to celebrate!
